About

Dr. Dowd graduated from the Des Moines University, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Iowa. During this time, he completed an internship and later his Residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He also completed his Fellowships at Yale University, Norwalk Hospital in Gastroenterology and clinical nutrition, and at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Advanced therapeutic biliary endoscopy.

He is board certified in Gastroenterology and is a member of the following associations; American Osteopathic Association, American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American College of Osteopathic Internists, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr Dowd is particularly interested in esophageal disorder, inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer screening and prevention, biliary and pancreatic disorders, and clinical nutrition.
